About The RoleESB is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the scheduling of domestic and international projects across ESB Networks and Generation & Trading. As the demand for skilled project planners continues to rise across infrastructure and energy sectors, this role offers a unique opportunity to build a future-proof career in planning and scheduling—an increasingly indispensable discipline in modern project delivery. You will work closely with experienced schedulers and project teams to build foundational skills in project planning and scheduling.This entry-level role is designed as a foundational step toward more advanced planning roles, including Band 4 and professional scheduling positions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and maintaining project schedules under guidance.Support Project Managers and Engineers in schedule updates and reporting.Help prepare basic schedule reports (e.g., look-ahead reports, dashboards).Learn and apply scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project (MSP) & P6.Participate in team meetings and contribute to schedule reviews.Support data entry, document control, and schedule change tracking.Assist Project planners in their day-to-day tasks.Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project timelines.Experience & QualificationsEssential:0–3 years of relevant experience.Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Good communication and organisational skills.Third-level qualification in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, or other numerate disciplinesDesirable:Exposure to project environmentsInterest in renewable energy or infrastructure projects.Demonstrated curiosity and initiative through side projects, certifications, or contributions to process improvements in previous roles.Knowledge of MSP or Primavera would be an advantage.LocationDublin City Centre.
