Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
This role requires a skilled and experienced maintenance technician to join our team in Tipperary. As a key member of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance on process, utility, and facility equipment to support manufacturing operations and maximise asset performance.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out all work safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, while maintaining good relations with suppliers, contractors, customers and fellow employees.
* Perform routine and non-routine electrical tasks delegated according to appropriate procedures and standards.
* Ensure that the Maintenance Manager is aware of any problems on site as soon as possible.
* Pass relevant information to the next maintenance shift.
* Execute site preventive maintenance routines.
* Maintain accurate records.
* Repair equipment malfunctions and resolve reoccurring downtime/inefficient operational issues.
* Assist with construction, commissioning, and qualification of equipment.
* Be involved in developing maintenance procedures and equipment files.
* Assist with generation, review, and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary.
* Select spare parts to ensure maximum availability of equipment.
* Operate utilities and equipment safely and efficiently, whilst maximising uptime.
* Collect and analyse equipment data to report on equipment performance.
* Assist with rolling shutdown preparation and execution.
* Train other staff in department procedures and techniques as required.
* Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Utility and Manufacturing equipment to enable the manufacture of quality products.
* Be responsible and accountable for the safe accomplishment of all activities within the maintenance team whilst following statutory, environmental, regulatory, corporate, site and team practices.
* Report any EHS incidents and/or near misses.
* Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to a high standard.
* Assist engineering in executing projects.
* Perform all necessary maintenance PMs and repairs.
* Attend meetings deemed necessary to ensure continuity within the maintenance department during normal working hours subject to flexibility at start or end of the working day.
* Support a culture of Continuous Improvement.
* Any other duties as directed by your manager.
Requirements:
* High level of technical competence in electrical maintenance.
* Experience in a similar maintenance role.
* Ability to work safely and effectively.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
* Ability to operate a variety of equipment and tools.
* Knowledge of maintenance software systems.
* Proactive approach to problem solving.
