Job Title: Oceanographic Services Manager
About the Role:
The Section Manager will lead oceanographic work with national and international partners, supporting and developing new research and service-development projects funded through national, EU, and other sources.
Main Responsibilities:
* IDentify requirements for oceanographic and climate data products and services.
* Collaborate with teams to deliver these products and services within the context of the Marine Institute Data policy.
* Manage Research Vessel programmes and data from Celtic Explorer and Celtic Voyager.
* Develop and promote utilisation by the research community of the National Weather Buoy and Tide Gauge Networks.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oceanography and experience in managing research programmes and activities contributing to national programmes and international collaborative programmes. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage and develop equipment pools.
