Quality Manager – in Aviation MaintenanceWe are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop a comprehensive quality management system within an aviation maintenance environment. Reporting to senior management, this role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.This is a senior leadership position suited to a proactive professional with strong regulatory knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish, implement, monitor, and continuously improve the organisation’s Quality Management SystemEnsure full compliance with applicable aviation regulatory requirements and industry standardsDevelop, maintain, and control quality procedures, processes, and organisational manualsObtain and maintain all required regulatory approvals and operational authorisationsPlan and conduct internal audits, including oversight of external service providersAct as the primary interface with aviation authorities and regulatory bodiesManage certifying authority processes and personnel authorisationsEstablish and oversee maintenance personnel training programmes, including qualifications and competency recordsIndependently develop and implement repair station and operational processes, including external interface processesSupport operations in translating contractual and regulatory requirements into stable production outputsEnsure conformity with airworthiness, environmental, health and safety requirementsCoordinate quality activities across internal departments and with external partner networksManage quality incidents, escapes, and corrective action processesSpecific AccountabilitiesMonitor, audit, and optimise quality procedures and operational processesLead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actionsOrganise and deliver required technical, regulatory, and human factors trainingMaintain effective communication with regulatory authoritiesWork cross-functionally with production, engineering, materials, finance, and support functionsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the organisationCandidate ProfileProven leadership experience managing teams and projectsStrong background in quality management and auditing within a regulated environmentHigh level of attention to detail with a disciplined and structured approachAbility to lead and manage change effectivelyStrong problem-solving capability in dynamic and high-pressure environmentsExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsCustomer-focused mindset with strong business awarenessSelf-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to travel as requiredQualifications & ExperienceRelevant third-level qualification or equivalent industry experienceDemonstrated experience in Quality Management and regulatory complianceStrong leadership and decision-making capabilityExperience working collaboratively with peer leadership teamsKnowledge of aviation maintenance regulations is highly desirableAdditional German language skills are an advantageSalary & BenefitsCompetitive salary in the range of 80,000 – 100,000 depending on experience25 days annual leave, plus public holidaysPrivate health insuranceLife assuranceDiscounted long-haul and domestic flight travel
