Key Responsibilities
The below list is not exhaustive and may change or develop depending on the needs of the business.
* Responsible for setting, obtaining and driving relevant KPIs, including pick rate, accuracy and speed.
* Responsible for delegation and completion of daily tasks, including maintenance checks, damage & incidence reporting.
* Responsible for new start induction & training for both GEODIS staff and agency staff.
* Resource planning, holidays and sickness management.
* Solution design and process improvements
* Staff management, development and performance monitoring.
* Supervise and maintain general housekeeping to include battery charge area and equipment.
* Required to contribute in planning and execution of operational projects
* Promote safe work environment by leading by example and by on the spot correction of non-conformance.
* Manage all operatives allocated to the area ensuring an efficient and effective operation is delivered.
* Ensure all access and emergency exists are kept clear and all Health and Safety procedures are followed
* Ensure the safety of yourself and others everywhere and every time in line with the 7 Golden rules of Geodis.
* Ensure we aim to achieve the delivery of a perfect service in line with the 7 Golden rules of Geodis.
* Attend scheduled operations meetings
* Ad- hoc warehouse duties as required
Candidate Profile
* Excellent Attention to detail, Organisational and time management skills
* Ability to train and motivate your team
* Flexibility to support business needs including later warehouse hours cover
* Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Good analytical and methodical approach to work
* Experience in a similar role, preferred.
* Able to work as a Team player and on own initiative
* Good problem solver
* Good working knowledge of Excel/Word
* Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills
* At least 1 years' experience in within a logistics environment.
* A team player
Education
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent
* MHE Licenses preferred, but will be organised as part of role is
