Job Overview
A senior instrumentation specialist is sought after by a leading Biotech organization in Limerick to assume responsibility for the site's calibration program.
* Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive site calibration program that adheres to health authorities and regulatory requirements.
* Provide technical expertise on instrumentation systems, encompassing reliability, equipment lifecycle management, upgrades, deviations, and root cause analysis.
* Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing reliability through predictive and condition-based monitoring data analysis, ensuring maximum equipment availability.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to support capital projects, including equipment specification, selection, and lifecycle planning.
* Represent the organization during audits with regulatory bodies, showcasing the site as an expert in instrumentation and calibration practices.
* Establish, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), job plans, and technical documentation in line with global engineering standards.
* Deliver training sessions and provide guidance to maintenance personnel on new equipment, technologies, and calibration best practices.
* Drive continuous improvement efforts to strengthen maintenance and reliability programs.
Candidate Profile
* Hold a Level 8 Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Possess a minimum of five years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of EU directives (e.g., ATEX) and relevant engineering standards (IEC, ISO, NSAI, NEC, etc.).
* Showcase proven expertise in developing or implementing a site calibration program.
* Possess excellent communication, report writing, and leadership skills.
* Demonstrate ability to work independently, influence change, and drive results in a regulated environment.
