We are seeking a skilled and dedicated High-Quality Printing Specialist to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating our state-of-the-art B1 press to produce a wide range of high-quality printed products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Press Operation: Set up and operate the B1 Komori 5-colour press with an in-line coater and appropriate drying systems to produce high-quality prints.
* Production Maximisation: Run the press at optimal speeds, troubleshooting issues as they arise to maximise production output and minimise downtime.
* Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks throughout the print run to ensure all products meet our exacting standards and client specifications.
* Preparation: Prepare all necessary printing materials, including mounting plates, mixing inks, and preparing board and paper stock for the job.
* Coordination & Communication: Liaise with the Production Manager and Prepress Manager to ensure jobs are produced correctly, colour-matched, and completed on time.
* Maintenance: Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance of the press as per the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable machine operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous Experience: Previous experience working on a lithographic printing press is essential.
* Lithographic Printing Expertise: Demonstrable experience operating a B1 size offset press; direct experience with Komori presses is highly desirable.
* Colour Theory: Strong understanding of the lithographic printing process, colour theory (CMYK and Pantone), and finishing systems (in-line coating).
* Time Management: Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Mechanical Aptitude: Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
