Position Title: Financial Accountant Commercial Operations
Salary: €70,368 - €90,198
Transport Infrastructure Ireland's Financial Management Unit oversees financial operations and revenue streams from tolling (M50 eFlow approx. €210m, Dublin Tunnel approx. €32m), and Luas (approx. €62m). The unit provides assurance to senior stakeholders, including the Board, Audit Committee, and external auditors, through a governance framework that includes financial controls, reporting, and audits.
The Financial Accountant will support the Luas Business financially, reporting to the Head of Financial Management and collaborating with the Luas Commercial Manager. Responsibilities include managing revenue streams, preparing management accounts, liaising with operators, managing audits, developing governance models, ensuring compliance, preparing forecasts and budgets, and supporting financial operations.
The role requires flexibility to undertake additional duties as assigned, with a focus on teamwork and organizational cooperation.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified accountant with a professional qualification (ACA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA) or in the process of attaining membership within two years.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management and assurance.
* Strong financial management training and experience.
* Ability to analyze business processes for control improvements.
* Proven leadership and relationship management skills.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Familiarity with government and outsourced operator cultures (desirable).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Sage 1000 or similar systems.
* Fluency in English (oral and written).
* Current driving license.
