Occupational Therapist – Staff Grade
Full-time Permanent Post
Location: Bawnmore, Limerick City
Candidate Requirements:
* Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience:
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
(ii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
(iii) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
Annual Registration:
* (i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by CORU.
* (ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE via the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Health:
Candidates and holders of the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the role and be in good health to ensure regular and efficient service.
Character:
Candidates and holders must be of good character.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Experience working within adult disability services
* Experience in multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary working
* Commitment to partnership with other disciplines and service providers
* Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Commitment to ongoing training, development, and supervision
* Experience in assessments and interventions related to everyday functioning, equipment provision, and seating/postural management
