**The Opportunity:**
This role involves Senior Lead Engineer responsibilities in the Engineering & Asset Management team, ensuring onshore and offshore transmission projects align with EirGrid statutory obligations, standards, and policies.
Our onshore and offshore engineering functions undertake project design reviews and site inspections to guarantee projects meet EirGrid functional specifications and standards.
The successful candidate will have expertise in HV transmission design and be able to assess designs for conformity to standards and requirements.
Additionally, this role requires handling technical queries efficiently in accordance with TSO standards and policies.
* Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree with 6 years' experience in delivering HV transmission assets or similar industries like Oil and Gas.
* Offshore platform design expertise with experience assessing conformity to standards.
* Submarine cable design and/or installation expertise with experience assessing cable designs for conformity to standards.
* Experience working on EPC contracts.
* Ensuring parties responsible for delivery are provided with all requisite functional and technical standards.
* Experience completing inspections and monitoring construction progress for compliance to ensure transmission assets can be commissioned according to standards.
* Strong understanding of stakeholder and industry requirements for the transmission system and associated developments.
