ProductionJob PurposeManage the production activities of the evaporation department to ensure that all targets are met in a safe manner. Personally accountable for achievement of all targets in the product evaporation department and keep the Production/Operations Manager informed of any critical business issues as appropriateReports ToProduction ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:Liasing with contractors/vendors regarding equipment and processesPreventing accidents and controlling hazards and hazardous materialKeeping records and preparing reportsPlanning and scheduling workTraining personnelInspecting, caring for and preserving equipmentPromoting teamworkMaintaining liaison with other units, departments and divisionsAttending meetingsEnsuring all paperwork is in use, correctly filled in and signed offHaving department audit ready 24/7Organize and plan the workload to ensure maximum production with minimum effort and confusionDelegate the authority for completing tasks, keeping in mind that the final product is the responsibility of the supervisorControl the workload and oversee that all work is completed correctlyMeets Business/Customers requirements, understands key goals and objectives, delivers desired results, uses initiative, good team player, supports others, learns from experienceRun Evaporator to the Production PlanMaintain working hoursCommunicate with team about work requirementsMaintaining stock as per recipesReporting issues to management teamWorking various shift patternsWork on any projects as requiredSkills / Qualifications / Experience3 years in a similar role in a Manufacturing environment is essentialA food based diploma is desirable but not essentialTechnical operator experience essentialExperience in understanding and using computerised controls preferredUnderstanding of pumps and control valves preferredExperience with chemicals and hot liquid handling preferredExperience in CIP of food production equipment preferredExcellent interpersonal and communications skills are essentialStrong negotiation skills are essentialAbility to multi-task is essentialClear demonstration of an ability to provide guidance and motivation to others is requiredWorking hours must be flexibleNote: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time.
