We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the effective operation of our finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
\
\
* Assist with the preparation and management of our RCT and VAT on Capital Projects;
\
* Support the management of our creditors Ledger, ensuring accurate recording of expenditure against cost headings and Programme Budgets, and apportionment of Shared Costs across programmes;
\
* Support the managing of our debtors Ledger, ensuring entering of income received – fundraising and rental income;
\
* Prepare Returns to Revenue for review by the Accountant/Head of Finance, including VAT, RCT and Charity Claims;
\
* Assist with the review and monthly reconciliation of Petty Cash and Soldo Cashcards for all services;
\
* Ensure adherence to our Organisations Internal Financial controls regarding purchasing, and authorisation of expenditure;
\
* Prepare financial returns of income and expenditure for cost centres and funding agencies as required;
\
* Ensure accurate bi-weekly Financial reporting of issues to the Head of Finance to support the work plan of the Finance department;
\

Required Skills and Qualifications:
\
\
* Part qualified Accountant or Accounting Technician;
\
* EU Passport/Stamp 4 Visa;
\
* A relevant business degree or equivalent;
\
* Experience in Accounting Software and Excel;
\
* Strong Financial Controls ethos;
\
* Experience in the Not-for-profit Sector and knowledge of the Charities SORP is desirable.
