Parttime Social Care Workers (19.5 hours) urgently required for Respite service working across 24/7 Roster.

Saint John of God Community Services Dublin South East is looking for applications for the role of Part-time Social Care workers to support with our Adult respite service.

General Role Outline
This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned service in the intellectual disability sector. We are funded by the HSE and as such the role is within the public service and subject to annual increments, generous annual leave, and pensions.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to support strong relationships with all stakeholders associated with our services is essential.
Role Summary
Applications are invited for the post of Social Care Workers supporting individuals with an intellectual disability in our Respite Service. This is a person centred, dynamic and challenging 24/7 respite service.
Reporting to the Social Care Leader, you should have the following:
* Minimum of QQI level 7 in Social Care / Applied Social Studies / Social Care Studies. Be eligible to register with CORU.
* Minimum of 1 years' experience of working with individuals with an Intellectual Disability
* Knowledge and understanding of HIQA Standards & other relevant legislative requirements under the Health Act 2007.
* Proven track record in initiative, and motivation in activities planning and community building.
* A proven track record in the delivery of Person-Centred systems, services and supports and awareness of Positive Behaviour Supports.
* Programme Development / Skills Teaching.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Flexibility in all aspects of work and able to meet the demands of a 24/7 respite care service.
* An understanding of the values and ethos of the organisation and a commitment to implementing these.
* Be innovative, resourceful, flexible and have excellent communication, interpersonal, administrative and co-ordination skills
* Ability to work both in a busy team environment and independently
* Ability to support and facilitate independent living and community integration.
* Full clean manual driving licence essential
