Injection Moulding Process Engineer

CPL Recruitment are assisting our valued client in sourcing an injection process moulding engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a manufacturing site that has undergone major investment and expansion since 2022. You will work with a friendly and experienced team with extensive leadership expertise.
In this role, you will support the introduction of new products to the site.
Prior medical device and/or injection moulding experience is required. This is a day shift role.
NPI Process Engineer Responsibilities
* Responsible for introducing all new products into the company, compiling standard specifications for each process, and monitoring existing production to meet these standards.
* Optimize processes using statistical techniques.
* Collaborate with Production Group Leaders (PGLs) to troubleshoot processing issues.
* Build relationships with customers and equipment/raw material suppliers to foster continuous improvement and business development.
* Address customer-related problems in conjunction with the Quality department.
* Train and instruct team members on manufacturing skills and new processes.
* Develop and review documentation in line with ISO9001:2000 and ISO 13485 standards, coordinating with Group Leaders and the Quality department.
* Maintain communication with external suppliers and provide feedback to management.
Requirements
* National Diploma in Engineering; Degree in Plastics Engineering preferred.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in injection moulding industry.
* Strong knowledge of injection mould tooling, design, processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems.
* Experience in medical, packaging, or technological industries is advantageous.
* Knowledge of real-time monitoring systems is preferred.
* Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
* Understanding of principles like WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen.
* Computer literacy, including manufacturing systems, Word, Excel; MFG Pro knowledge is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as required.
