Normal base for this role will be our Ballyphehane Office, however, travel may be required to our other office locations, depending on business needs. At present we have five office locations:
* Ballyphehane
* South Mall
* Kinsale
* Dillons Cross and
* Ballinlough.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Loans Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment, evaluation, and administration of loan applications in line with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and process loan applications in a timely and professional manner
* Complete detailed analysis and make informed lending decisions
* Provide exceptional member service and financial guidance
* Ensure compliance with lending policies, legislation, and regulatory standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement of lending processes and member engagement
* To undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by Management.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience in assessing and approving loan applications, ideally within a credit union or financial institution
* A minimum qualification of APA in Loans or QFA (Qualified Financial Adviser) qualification (essential)
* Experience in mortgages would be desirable.
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
