We are seeking an exceptional research-active academic to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Sciences.
In this role, you will contribute significantly to shaping our new Direct Entry Undergraduate Medicine programme, to the teaching of Biomedical Science across our programmes as directed, and to developing a research plan that will make a significant contribution to our existing research and enhance our research outputs.
You will play a crucial part in ensuring our educational programs remain aligned with the evolving needs of future healthcare professionals, patients, and society.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead and expand world class research in Biomedical Science with potential to impact areas such as diagnosis of disease, understanding disease mechanisms, and diagnostic and translational applications.

Responsibilities
Lead and expand world-class research in Biomedical Science with potential to impact diagnosis, disease mechanisms, and translational applications.
Contribute to the teaching of Biomedical Science across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as directed, including involvement with the Direct Entry Undergraduate Medicine programme.
Develop and implement a research plan that enhances ongoing research and outputs.
Ensure educational programmes align with the evolving needs of future healthcare professionals, patients, and society.
Engage with initiatives related to UL's Wisdom for Action and contribute to a diverse, international educational environment.
Qualifications and Attributes
Research-active academic in Biomedical Sciences (Biochemistry) or closely related field.
Proven ability to lead research and contribute to high-quality education and scholarly activity.
Enthusiastic, dynamic, and creative individual with vision to contribute to forward-looking educational programmes.
