Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Associate: Patient Involvement in Patient Safety - The PIPS Project - School of Medicine, University of Galway
Applications are invited for a full-time, fixed-term position as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Discipline of General Practice and the Irish Centre for Applied Patient Safety and Simulation at the University of Galway, Ireland.
This position is funded by the Health Research Board and is available from December 1st, 2025, to November 31st, 2028 (36 months).
The PIPS Project
The project aims to involve patients actively in safety data collection within adult inpatient hospital care, recognizing the importance of the patient’s voice in improving patient safety. It seeks to co-design an approach based on existing research, theory, and stakeholder engagement, providing guidance for policy makers, health service managers, and providers.
Salary: €45,846 - €58,481 per annum, subject to funding limitations, pro rata for part-time contracts.

Requirements
* Relevant qualifications in health, social sciences, or related fields.
* Experience in patient safety, stakeholder engagement, or related research.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
