We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer in join our team in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
As part of our dynamic team and reporting to the Group Infrastructure Manager, the IT Infrastructure Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing our IT infrastructure. This exciting position involves managing virtualization platforms, implementing robust backup solutions, and administering Microsoft 365, all aimed at ensuring our systems are secure, highly available, and performing at their best.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Microsoft 365 Administration
* Exchange Online: Configure mail flow, manage mailboxes, distribution groups, and retention policies.
* SharePoint & OneDrive: Administer site collections, permissions, and storage quotas.
* Teams: Manage policies, voice integration, and collaboration settings.
* Security & Compliance: Implement DLP policies, eDiscovery, and audit logs.
* Licensing & User Management: Assign licenses, manage subscriptions, and monitor usage.
* Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use Microsoft 365 Admin Center and PowerShell for advanced diagnostics.
Azure Administration
* Resource Management: Deploy and manage VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks, and load balancers.
* Identity & Access: Configure Azure AD, hybrid identity (AD Connect), Conditional Access, and MFA.
* Security: Implement Azure Security Center recommendations, manage NSGs, and configure firewalls.
* Cost Optimization: Monitor resource usage, implement reserved instances, and optimize spend.
* Automation: Use Azure Automation and PowerShell for routine tasks and deployments.
* Backup & DR: Configure Azure Backup and Site Recovery for business continuity.
* Monitoring: Utilize Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for performance and alerting.
Virtualization (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
* Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines and hosts.
* Monitor performance and capacity planning for virtual environments.
Backup and Recovery (Veeam)
* Manage Veeam backup jobs for virtual and physical servers.
Infrastructure Support
* Maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
Security & Compliance
* Implement and maintain security best practices across infrastructure.
Requirements
* Minimum 2+ years experience in IT infrastructure engineering or similar role.
* Must have strong experience with Microsoft 365 & Azure administration.
* Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
* Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication.
* Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
