Zen Pensions is an Irish fintech startup preparing to launch Ireland’s first fully digital pension in Q4 2025 (pending regulatory approval). Our mission is to revolutionise pensions - making them simple, accessible, and engaging for everyone.
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to develop and implement our distribution strategy, build relationships, and drive the adoption of our innovative pension solutions. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking fintech startup at the ground floor.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Sales Manager will lead Zen Pensions’ sales initiatives, overseeing both direct sales and SME referrals. The role also involves building strategic partnerships and ensuring the sales pipeline aligns with our commercial and regulatory objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to drive pension product sales and grow Assets under Administration (AuA)
* Pipeline Management: Create and manage a sales pipeline to meet ambitious targets
* Partnership Development: Recruit and onboard new sales partners, conducting due diligence to align with Board-approved strategies
* Collaboration: Work with customer service and product teams to enhance client acquisition and retention
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure sales practices meet all regulatory obligations and standards
* Relationship Building: Foster strong connections with key partners, SMEs, and personal clients to support business growth
Mandatory Qualifications
* Professional Certification: Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) certification meeting the Central Bank of Ireland’s Minimum Competency Code
* Location: Must be domiciled in the Republic of Ireland and have access to personal transportation
Experience
* At least 5 years’ experience in sales management within the pensions or insurance industries
* Proven success in meeting sales targets and growing distribution channels
* In-depth knowledge of Personal Retirement Savings Accounts (PRSAs) and SME sales channels

* Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a deep understanding of sales principles and practices
* Analytical skills to leverage data for decision-making and strategy development
