What You Can Expect:Operational Control· Oversee the daily operations of road freight transportation, ensuring smooth execution of shipments.· Ensure that all shipments are dispatched on time and delivered within the agreed timeframes.Team Management· Manage a team of freight logistics personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.· Provide training and guidance to staff on safety protocols, company standards, and customer service.Compliance & Safety· Ensure that all road freight activities comply with transportation laws, regulations, and company policies.Coordination & Communication· Coordinate with the warehouse, customer service, and sales teams to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.· Point of escalation for operational issues, resolving problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction.Reporting & Documentation· Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery rates, vehicle utilization, and customer feedback.· Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to the National Freight Manager on operational performance.
What You Bring:
Education and Experience.· 3-5 years experience in a similar role desirable.· At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role essential.· Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility with work hours.· Strong knowledge of road freight operations, logistics, and transport regulations.· Leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing drivers and logistics personnel.· Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, drivers, and internal teams.· Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.Salary starts at €42,000 per annum, DOE.
