Position Summary
The Quality Engineer reports to the Engineering & Quality Manager and works closely with other functions in the company, including those in Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain. This role assists the Quality function as support for daily issues affecting manufacturing, supports and drives ISO Compliance activities, corrective action efforts and continuous improvement in the organization.
Responsibilities

Conduct product and process quality checks, documentation control activities and internal audits.
Ensure products are produced to specification.
Carry out factory inspections and internal audits to identify non-conformances and areas for improvement.
Complete incoming inspection checks against specifications.
Monitor activities in Goods Inwards and Production areas to ensure control and compliance at all times.
Lead internal and external CAPA investigations and ensure corrective action plans are identified and implemented, including customer complaints and supplier nonconformances.
Participate in site visits from customers and/or external auditing bodies as required.
Participate in the supplier approval process.
Take ownership of the equipment calibration process.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
Liaise with internal partners (e.g. Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Operations, etc) in support of daily operations.
Project team member for Product Development and other Site projects.
Develop SOPs and WIs to support daily operations across the factory.
Be a role model for the culture of the company.

Requirements

3rd level qualification in Quality, Engineering or other relevant area.
Recent graduates considered based on any relevant project work or work experience.
Experience working in ISO or other regulated manufacturing environments, particularly with electrical and mechanical technology.
Experience with lean manufacturing – a lean qualification is desirable but not necessary.
Proficient in MS Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Eligible to work in Ireland, and fluent English.
Ability to meet deadlines with a positive and proactive problem-solving approach.
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and customers.
Good team player, flexible, open & honest.
