We are currently recruiting a Hotel Accountant to join our Finance Team at Carton House.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and hotel management team
You will help ensure the efficient operation of the hotels finance function. Reporting to the Director of Finance.
Safeguard the hotel' assets by maintaining robust internal control systems.
Lead and develop the finance team, enhancing their skills and competencies across all financial functions.
Assist the Director of Finance with development and training of the Finance and stores teams.
Utilize advanced technology to analyze real-time date transforming insights into actionable business strategies.
Responsibility for the month end process ensuring the AP, AR, payroll, stock and banking is posted reconciled and closed off for a strict month end deadline.
Need to be approachable and build relationships with the other Heads of department and staff within the hotel.
Review the income audit and controls that are in place.
Internal Audit Reports and agree on corrective actions.
Reconcile balance sheet control accounts, including accruals and pre payments.
Ensuring control of the hotel's sales ledger.
Producing any other ad-hoc reports that may be requested.

Key Requirements

Experienced hotel financial controller, hotel accountant or assistant financial controller
Extensive hotel industry experience is a must.
Strong commercial and operational experience.
Strong understanding of budgets, forecasts KPI's and internal controls and industry norms.
Excellent Analytical and presentation skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ideal candidate will be a qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other equivalent requirements)
Exceptional analytical abilities.
Knowledge of IT systems(Procure wizard, Opera cloud, Alkimii)
Proven people management and leadership skills.
