About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Buyer to join our team in a commercial setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and delivering products, building category range plans, and managing existing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sourcing and delivering products to meet business needs
* Building category range plans with the Senior Buyer
* Managing existing supplier relationships and sourcing new suppliers
* Analysing sales performance and reviewing current ranges
* Assessing competitor products and market trends
* Establishing quality standards and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Requirements:
* 5 years' experience in a similar Buying position
* Proven track record in achieving required sales and margins
* Local and international product sourcing experience
* Knowledge of trends and strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
* Excellent communication skills and proactive attitude
* Strong numerical and IT skills
* Experience developing and mentoring junior team members
