Your day-to-day responsibilities will span a mix of system management, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork.Play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the company's food safety framework, ensuring systems like HACCP, SOPs, and prerequisite programmes are consistently followed and improved.Keep standards on track by assessing site performance and working closely with the Quality & Technical Manager to ensure all regulatory, customer, and certification expectations are being met.Lead internal audits from start to finish, share insights with teams across the site, and support departments in closing out actions effectively.Take ownership of targeted improvement projects, managing timelines and involving the right people to drive successful outcomes.Use Lean thinking daily, helping teams understand root causes, solve issues sustainably, and embed better ways of working.Spot potential risks before they become problems, act quickly to address them, and oversee corrective and preventative actions to support ongoing improvement.Monitor Quality KPIs, identify trends, and collaborate with production colleagues to solve issues at source.Manage customer complaint investigations and external non-conformances with a thorough and structured approach.Work alongside Production and Maintenance to set expectations, troubleshoot, and ensure high standards are upheld across operations.What You'll BringA recognised third-level qualification in Food Science or a related discipline.3+ years' experience in a QA or QC role within food manufacturing.Solid knowledge of auditing, food legislation, HACCP, BRC or other GFSI standards, and quality management tools.A strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.Experience driving improvements and delivering lasting results.A proactive, positive, team-oriented approach with plenty of initiative.Great communication skills and the confidence to engage with people across all departments.Strong organisational abilities and the energy to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.Good IT and Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and documentation.Ready to make 2026 your year of growth?If you're looking for a role where your expertise will be valued, your ideas will drive real improvements, and your career can truly move forward, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today
