Job Description:
This role involves providing administrative support to the Planning & Environmental practice group. Key responsibilities include preparing and issuing invoices, corresponding with clients through various communication channels, drafting and filing legal documents, coordinating internal meetings and external events, performing secretarial duties, creating and maintaining case files, screening and prioritizing calls and emails, and conducting research as requested.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and issuing invoices as required
* Corresponding with clients through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email communication
* Draft, proofread, and file or send legal documents
* Coordinate internal meetings and external client events as required
* Perform secretarial duties, including maintaining fee earners' calendars, scheduling appointments, making copies, and compiling complex documentation
* Create and maintain case files, including producing and editing transcripts
* Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls and emails to the reporting team
* Perform legal and background research when requested
* Manage travel arrangements and maintain detailed calendars for multiple fee earners, including court dates, client meetings, and deadlines
* Monitor deadlines and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion
