Clinical Lead Nursing Professional
As a Clinical Nurse Manager II, you will play a pivotal role in service planning, coordination, and management within the clinical area. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
* Clinically managing patient care to ensure the highest professional standards using evidence-based care planning.
* Providing high-level professional and clinical leadership.
* Coordinating, assessing, planning, delivering, and reviewing service user care by all staff in designated areas.
* Ensuring safe, comprehensive nursing care to service users within NMBI guidelines.
You will participate in teams, meetings, and committees as appropriate, communicating and working cooperatively with other team members. Additionally, you will:
* Facilitate coordination, cooperation, and liaison across healthcare teams.
* Collaborate with service users, families, carers, and other staff in treatment and care.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care through personal involvement and supervising qualified nurses.
* Regularly evaluate and monitor patient care using hospital quality systems to ensure delivered care meets standards.
* Develop and promote good relationships with patients, families, and carers, creating a welcoming and homely ward environment.
* Work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team, promoting good teamwork and excellent patient care.
* Evaluate and further develop departmental philosophy, objectives, and goals.
Managerial responsibilities include:
* Supervising, coordinating, and deploying nursing and support staff to ensure optimal delivery of care in designated areas.
* Managing communication at ward and departmental levels and facilitating team building.
* Providing staff leadership and motivation conducive to good working relations and work performance.
* Managing resources efficiently and effectively.
* Leading practice development within clinical areas.
* Implementing change according to new developments in nursing.
* Promoting, facilitating, and participating in the development of nursing policies and procedures.
* Monitoring and leading proactive improvement.
* Contributing to policy formulation, development, and implementation at area and hospital levels.
* Actively participating in Nursing Management structures and supporting Assistant Directors of Nursing.
* Maintaining necessary clinical and administrative records and reporting arrangements.
