Electrical Supervisor – Kildare
Excel Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading global facilities and services provider to recruit an experienced Electrical Supervisor for a high-profile production site in Kildare. As Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of all hard services within an Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) environment, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. Leading a skilled team of technicians, you'll ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of plant and equipment while maintaining exceptional client relationships and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance across all building systems.
* Ensure compliance and reliability of electrical systems, HVAC, water services, boilers, and life safety equipment.
* Utilise the CAFM system (Maximo) to schedule works, track defects, and maintain asset data.
* Supervise internal technicians and external contractors, ensuring safe and high-quality service delivery.
* Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and manage permit-to-work processes.
* Respond promptly to helpdesk requests and reactive tasks in line with SLA targets.
* Support procurement, onboarding, and training of FM team members.
* Monitor budgets, report on performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
* Represent the company professionally and maintain proactive client relationships.
Requirements
* Qualified electrician or strong electrical background with experience in facilities or building services.
* Proven experience in facilities management or technical maintenance within industrial or production environments.
* Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, life safety, and control systems.
* Hands-on approach with the ability to lead and motivate a multi-skilled FM team.
* Strong understanding of health & safety, statutory compliance, and risk management.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Experience using CAFM systems (Maximo advantageous).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and handheld reporting tools.
* Full, clean Irish driving licence.
* Experience in a food manufacturing or production facility is an advantage.
