Overview
IVC Evidensia is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our close‑knit team in Douglas, Cork.
Position is permanent and may be full‑time (40 hours per week) or part‑time (up to 40 hours). Standard hours 8am–7pm, one Saturday morning 9am–2pm. No overnight or Sunday work.
Salary up to €65,000 FTE DOE. Start date February 2026.
Responsibilities
Provide routine and advanced small animal clinical care, including soft tissue and routine surgery.
Consult on patient management, client communication and client follow‑up.
Work independently on a sole charge when required.
Contribute to high‑standard clinical practice, including digital radiography, dental, ultrasound and referral pathways.
Qualifications
VCI‑registered Veterinary Surgeon.
Solid postgraduate experience in small animal practice.
Confident in routine soft‑tissue surgery and consultations.
Strong communication skills and collaborative, professional approach.
Experience in a modern, well‑equipped clinic with a high‑quality client base is preferred.

About You
You are a VCI‑registered Veterinary Surgeon with robust post‑graduate experience in small animal practice. You are comfortable with routine soft‑tissue surgery, confident in client communication, and comfortable working sole charge when necessary. You are committed to excellent patient and client care, collaboration, professionalism and strong communication skills.
