Job Description
As a Windows Platform Consultant, you will assist in the administration and support of our customers’ server infrastructure, which underpins the organisation’s corporate functions and mission‑critical power system operation and market functions.
Responsibilities
Support the Windows Server Operations Team Lead in delivering on project targets and operational KPIs
Administer and support virtualisation platforms including VMware, Citrix, and Nutanix AHV environments
Manage and support Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) clusters including Prism administration, storage configuration, capacity management, and performance optimisation
Support Nutanix‑based DR and replication solutions including snapshot management and business continuity planning
Support asset management of Windows and Nutanix systems including inventory maintenance, lifecycle management, warranty management and vendor support
Develop, support and optimise Windows solutions to deliver high performance, 24x7 availability and disaster recovery capability
Administer all current and future Windows Server environments (Server 2016 onwards) across hybrid infrastructures
Identify, prioritise and resolve 2nd or 3rd level incidents and problems through formal incident and problem management processes
Administer Windows Server and Active Directory security in accordance with company policy and industry best practice
Contribute to the development of internal procedures, processes and technical documentation
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in implementing, supporting and administering Windows environments
Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server and several of the following technologies:
Citrix, VMware, Nutanix AHV, Active Directory, Exchange
Commvault or other enterprise backup tools
Datacentre management including server installation, cabling and hypercon
