People Operations Generalist (Maternity Cover)

The DPD Ireland People Operations Team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of People Operations Generalist on a maternity cover basis. This exciting opportunity will provide exposure to all aspects of the employee life-cycle, working closely with experienced People Professionals.

Main Responsibilities:
* Support the execution of recruitment plans through various initiatives to attract and recruit top talent.
* Collaborate with business leaders to deliver seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences for employees.
* Drive continuous improvement in HR tools and processes throughout the employee life-cycle, promoting a positive employee experience.
* Protect employees' personal, confidential, and sensitive information by ensuring robust governance practices.
* Provide support, guidance, and advice on employee-related matters, including company policies, procedures, grievances, discipline, and health and welfare concerns.
* Develop, update, and communicate policies and procedures to meet business needs and comply with changing Irish legislation and case law.
* Promote and support equality, inclusion, and diversity, creating a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and heard.
* Produce high-quality people reporting requirements and continuously improve insights and reporting on an ongoing basis.
* Assist with salary payroll instructions and lead, mentor, and develop a team of People Operations Administrators.
* Contribute to research, design, and delivery of successful employee events as part of the People Operations Team.

Candidate Requirements:
* A degree or qualification in HR or a related field is desirable.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a People Operations Generalist role.
* Working knowledge of employment law required.
* Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including advanced Excel skills.
* Approachable, helpful, and effective communicator who relates well to people.
* Champions respect, care, and honesty in all interactions.
* Communicates passion for the business, energizes others, and drives impactful outcomes.
* Finds improvements and efficiencies in processes and activities.
* Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work flexible hours.
