Av Support Engineer – EOS IT Solutions

The AV Support Engineer is responsible for delivering advanced technical support for video conferencing systems and in‑room AV technology. This role provides Level 2 support, handling escalations that go beyond frontline assistance and ensuring rapid resolution of complex technical issues. The position requires travel to customer sites within the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve in‑room AV/VC issues with a resolution success rate of up to 99%.
Configure AV endpoints and infrastructure to meet enterprise standards and ensure seamless operation.
Conduct detailed room audits to validate system readiness and optimize performance.
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce system failures and ensure technology consistently meets user needs.
Identify, document, and resolve failed or defective equipment, recommending long‑term solutions where necessary.
Execute user acceptance testing onsite to ensure successful system deployment and functionality.
Install and configure software upgrades to maintain current system integrity and performance.
Deliver exceptional client support with a focus on incident de‑escalation and user satisfaction.
Perform break‑fix tasks in alignment with SLA timeframes and business impact priorities.
Build strong partnerships with local IT help desks, facilities, events teams, executive assistants, and other key stakeholders.
Provide white‑glove technical support for C‑level executives and senior leadership.
Support high‑profile video conferencing events, especially those requiring rapid escalation of network or AV issues.
Stay up to date with current industry‑standard AV hardware, software, and internal proprietary tools.

Essential Criteria

Self‑motivated and accountable in a fast‑paced, independent environment.
Creative and methodical problem‑solving regarding technical issues.
Knowledge of Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, ClearOne, QSC, and other AV/VC hardware and signal flow.
Ability to read and understand technical plans and perform necessary configuration.
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to client culture.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
Flexibility to adapt to change and varying hours of work to meet customer needs.
Physical strength to lift large/heavy objects and perform integration/maintenance work.

AV Installation Engineer – Yorktel‑Kinly
Contract Type: Full‑time
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Reporting to: Installation & Commissioning Engineer Lead

The AV Installation Engineer will:
Key Responsibilities

Install and configure professional AV and collaboration technology on customer project sites.
Prepare and configure equipment off‑site before deployment.
Complete installation documentation and system validation checklists.
Assist the Installation & Commissioning Engineer to maintain installation quality, standards and site delivery expectations.
Collaborate with project teams including Project Management, Engineering and Service Operations.
Perform off‑site preparation, rack building, staging, configuration and asset labelling of AV equipment.
Install on‑site displays, audio, control systems and peripherals.
Submit accurate site records, red‑lines, photos and material usage reports after installation.
Support basic configuration under supervision, including IP addressing, endpoint setup and peripheral calibration.
Assist with site surveys, testing room readiness and provide structured feedback on issues or risks.
Work with subcontractors, trades and logistics teams during deployments.
Ensure installation meets company quality expectations and industry best‑practice standards.
Support on‑site health & safety compliance, cable management, containment, installation integrity and workspace cleanliness.
Provide first‑line troubleshooting during installation phases and escalating complex issues to the Installation & Commissioning Engineer.
Assist with stock handling, deliveries, consumables usage and onsite equipment staging/logistics.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven hands‑on experience installing AV systems in commercial or construction environments.
Solid understanding of signal flow, cabling types, infrastructure and installation best practice.
Familiarity with IP‑enabled AV endpoints and collaboration devices.
Accurate completion of documentation, checklists, red‑lines, photos and site reports.
Strong problem‑solving skills with a calm & professional approach under pressure.
Excellent time management and the ability to work to deployment schedules and project milestones.
Strong communication skills when working with internal stakeholders, delivery partners and site teams.
High attention to detail, structured working habits and a passion for quality delivery.

Desirable but Not Essential

Industry accreditation such as AVIXA CTS.
Exposure to digital audio meeting platforms, AV‑over‑IP or basic LAN technologies.
Future interest in certification pathways such as CTS‑I / CTS‑D.

IT Support Specialist – Dublin
