Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Day-Rate Contract Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer on behalf of a client on a day-rate contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level security architectures and frameworks
* Conduct comprehensive security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing
* Develop and enhance security policies, procedures, and incident response protocols
* Monitor and respond to security incidents, threats, and breaches
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices across all systems
* Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and solutions
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security team members
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.)
* Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in enterprise environments
* Strong expertise in security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
* Proficiency with security tools including SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection
* Experience with network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems
* Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation security
* Strong understanding of encryption, PKI, and identity management systems
* Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
* Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* EU work authorization required
Desirable Skills
* Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries
* Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security
* Incident response and digital forensics experience
* Risk assessment and management expertise
* Experience with security automation and orchestration platforms
