Depot Repair Specialist – Electronic Technician
Join our Dublin-based team and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of cutting-edge X-ray and trace detection technology. We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Depot Repair Specialist with strong diagnostic and repair skills to support our Global Supply Chain operations.
You'll be part of a collaborative depot team including site leads, fellow repair specialists, quality experts, and engineers. Together, you'll keep critical safety and detection equipment operating at its best.
What you'll be doing
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair defective service parts down to component level
* Test, calibrate, and verify the operation of repaired parts against technical specifications
* Maintain clear documentation of all repair work and test outcomes
* Collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve complex repair challenges
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace
* Suggest improvements to repair processes based on recurring issues
About You:
* Proven experience in electronics repair and maintenance
* Technical certification or relevant experience (IPC J-STD-001 soldering certification is a plus)
* Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Physically able to lift/move equipment as needed
Bonus Skills
* Experience with X-ray or detection equipment
* Familiarity with continuous improvement and process optimisation
* Knowledge of depot service environments or similar repair settings
