Overview of the role: The Cardiology Department carries out a wide range of cardiac investigations that include: ECGs Recording/Interpretation and highlighting abnormal findings.
Transthoracic echocardiography scanning & reporting independently to BSE/EACVI/ARDMS standard.
Loop-recorder, pacemaker, ICD & Biventricular device-interrogation & follow-up, including home-monitoring & Heart Rhythm Ireland database experience.
24-hour Holter monitoring Patient hook up and technical downloading/ analysis interpretation.
24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring Patient hook up and analysis of same.
Event Recording Patient hook up and analysis.
Desirable: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory to include technical support for Angiograms & percutaneous Coronary Intervention and competence during emergency procedures.
Desirable: Tilt-Table testing.
Key Requirements: A BSc in Clinical Measurement or equivalent.
