Fineco AM, which started its operations in May 2018, is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS & AIFM Management Company with a MIFID top up, and it currently has approximately €39bn in assets under management. Fineco AM is a competence centre- specialised in the management of fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, as well as Structured Solutions Funds. In addition to portfolio management activities, all key supporting and controlling functions, such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal, are also performed locally.
The company started with 5 employees and has experienced strong and consistent growth over the past 7 years, with a current headcount at 90 FTE’s.
Currently Fineco AM manages 3 UCITS Umbrella Funds – 1 in Luxembourg and 2 in Ireland.
The Role
The Investment Analyst supports the management and development of the Structured Fund portfolio through rigorous analysis, disciplined reporting, and effective cross-functional collaboration. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently within a fast-paced investment environment. The analyst also contributes to process enhancement initiatives and supports sales with data-driven insights.
Main Responsibilities:
Execute weekly trade building and implementation activities within the Structured Fund portfolio.
Support ongoing monitoring of positions and ensure alignment with portfolio objectives.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Produce monthly reporting on fund positioning, performance trends, and key portfolio metrics.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reporting outputs.
Fund Launch & Operational Support
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout fund launch processes.
Support day-to-day activities related to ongoing fund operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with teams on documentation for fund launches, investment committees, and board meetings.
Ensure timely preparation of materials and support decision-making processes.
Process & Workflow Enhancement
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across portfolio management workflows.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Sales & Client-Related Support
Respond to requests from the sales team related to fund performance, portfolio data, and product characteristics.
Prepare accurate information to support client interactions and presentations.
Key requirements:
Experience & Background
Experience in asset management, structured products, or investment operations.
Comfortable with quantitative analysis and financial data handling.
