Glenlo Abbey Hotel and Estate is located on the bank of Lough Corrib on a 138-acre estate with the original 18th century manor house dating back to the 1740's. The Hotel comprises of 73 guest bedrooms, 11 Luxury Lodges, Corrib Room (catering for meetings, events, and weddings for up to 170 guests), River Restaurant, Palmers Bar and Kitchen, Oak Cellar Bistro, 2AA Rosette Pullman Restaurant (an original Dining Carriage from the Orient Express), Glo Spa & Wellness, 9 hole Championship Golf Course and a 21 bay driving range.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Restaurant Host/Hostess for our exclusive Pullman Restaurant at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate.
The Pullman Restaurant is Galway's most unique dining experience. Diners take a step back in time aboard the Orient Express, which comprises of 2 original carriages from the Orient Express, beautifully restored without losing any of their original character and set on the grounds of the hotel with views of the golf course, Lough Corrib.
Role Overview
As a Host/Hostess in The Pullman, you will be the welcoming face of our famous and unique restaurant. Your warming personality and attention to detail will ensure our guests have an exceptional and delightful experience from the moment they arrive until they depart.
Key Responsibilities
1. Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
2. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, follow up confirmations and maximizing seating arrangements / table plans.
3. Provide guests with information about our menu, special dietary options, and seasonal offerings.
4. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing reception area.
5. Anticipate and respond promptly to guest inquiries and needs.
6. Work closely with the service team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience, relaying guests communications.
7. Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
8. Handle guest feedback and concerns with grace and efficiency, ensuring a positive resolution.
9. Receiving payments, cash handling.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a similar role within a high-end hospitality environment.
2. Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
6. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
