Clarecare is a professional social enterprise in Ennis, County Clare, providing a range of people‑centred social services to individuals and families for over 58 years. In partnership with TUSLA, Health Service Executive and other partners, Clarecare operates the Bushypark Residential Addiction Treatment Centre.
Job Overview
Part‑time permanent role as Weekend Cook at Bushypark Treatment Centre. Working 10 hours per week: Saturday and Sunday 9:00–14:00 and Public Holidays 9:00–14:00.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals in line with HACCP requirements.
Support residents with therapeutic duties such as washing up and serving, following the weekly therapeutic duty list.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and store food and equipment according to HACCP standards.
Follow dietary plans and record allergens as per the Chef hand‑over book.
Set up dining room and ensure crockery is properly stored.
Complete HACCP paperwork and temperature, reheating and delivery charts.
Attend mandatory training and staff meetings.
Support residents and maintain professional boundaries.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience in food/meal planning and preparation for groups of up to 20 clients with varying dietary requirements.
A commercial or equivalent education enabling you to discharge the duties of the post.
High‑quality food preparation skills, cooking and presentation.
Experience working in an addiction treatment setting preferred.
Excellent timekeeping, communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive fit‑to‑work medical clearance.
Positive Garda vetting disclosure through Clarecare.
Two positive written employment references.
Valid manual handling certification or willingness to complete.
Full driving licence and own vehicle (to travel to/from work).
Desirable: Culinary skills course/training, HACCP certification or willingness to complete.
Knowledge of catering equipment advantageous.

Gross hourly rate €14.86, increasing by 2 % on 1 Oct 2026.
