Engineering Manager – REF: 2536
The position is for an Engineering Manager to join the Energy, Utilities and Renewables Projects team, based in Galway (with potential for the Cork office). The role involves client-facing responsibilities and leading high‑value, high‑complexity projects.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management and Business Development – maintaining and growing the business by managing existing workloads and acquiring new projects.
Lead a team of engineers, managing performance and developing competency.
Project lead for Design & Contract management from conceptual phase through to project completion; overseeing design calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports.
Typical projects include:
Power Generation (CHP and peaking plants)
Renewables Energy (biogas, biomass, solar and hydro)
Energy audits and design/implementation of energy‑saving initiatives
Industrial utilities design (HVAC, steam, refrigeration, compressed‑air systems)
Requirements
Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical, Process or a similar discipline related to the specification.
10+ years post‑graduate and relevant design experience. CEng beneficial but not essential.
Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Problem‑solving focus with continuous improvement mindset.
Full driving license and own transport required.
Fluent written and spoken English.
