Overview
An established international organisation is seeking a
Site Accounting Manager
to join its finance team in Ireland.
This is a key role within the controllership function, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting forecasting and planning activities, and partnering with site leadership to drive performance and accountability.
The successful candidate will oversee core accounting operations at site level, ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and act as a trusted business partner to operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Execute accounting activities in accordance with established accounting policies, including:
Revenue recognition (including percentage-of-completion accounting)
Lease accounting
Accruals and prepayments
Fixed assets
Tax compliance
Cash flow forecasting and banking activities
Support general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
Play a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including forecasting and annual planning.
Drive continuous improvement in close processes, targeting best-in-class standards (e.g., 5-day close, flash reporting, flux analysis).
Ensure adherence to divisional accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Maintain high levels of integrity, discipline, and rigor in financial reporting.
Assess and highlight accounting implications of site transactions in collaboration with divisional finance leadership.
Support year-end audit requirements and prepare necessary documentation.
Lead local statutory reporting and ensure timely execution of statutory audits.
Collaborate with FP&A and business teams to:
Upload financial statements
Prepare board presentation materials
Provide variance analysis and commentary on results
Identify and implement opportunities to automate and enhance accounting processes.
Support additional finance projects as required.

Candidate Profile
Experience
Minimum 4+ years' experience in corporate accounting and/or audit.
Experience working within a fast-paced, global organisation preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory regulations.
Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and close processes.
