Our client, a purpose-led and progressive organisation, is recruiting a full-time, permanent Social Care Leader for a residential centre supporting Separated Children Seeking International Protection (SCSIP) in Co. Kilkenny. The role involves a combination of shifts, which may include day shifts, 24-hour shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. The centre delivers safe, high-quality accommodation and tailored support for young people. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to trauma-informed, person-centred care. About the Role: As a Social Care Leader, you'll support and lead the care team to provide safe, effective, and person-centred care. Working alongside the Social Care Manager and Deputy Manager, you'll help develop the service. You'll play a vital role in fostering a supportive space where young people feel safe, heard, and valued. Key Responsibilities: Promote the wellbeing, rights, and participation of young people according to their care plans Lead shifts, ensuring smooth operations and strong team collaboration Maintain accurate records and liaise with families and professionals Follow safeguarding policies to maintain a safe, supportive setting Essential Education & Experience: Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field eligible for CORU registration (e.g., Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, Early Years Care) Alternatively, current or eligible CORU registrationas a Social Care Worker At least 2 years' experience working with children or young people in residential care at Social Care Worker level or higher Additional Requirements: Must have applied for, hold, or be eligible for CORU registration (proof required) Full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate leadership Knowledge of the National Standards for Children's Residential Centres (HIQA) Our Client Offers: Ongoing training and continuous professional development (CPD) Career progression opportunities within a growing and supportive organisation Meaningful, purpose-driven work rooted in strong values Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for wellbeing support Please submit your CV to Mark Corrigan at Morgan McKinley as soon as possible to apply. *** Sign-Up Bonus: Receive €300 when you join*** ***Referral Bonus: Earn €300 for every successful referral*** Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
