R&D Project Engineer – Castlebar

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced R&D Project Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Castlebar. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of innovative products and engineering solutions, managing projects from concept through to implementation while supporting continuous improvement and technical advancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate multiple research and development projects.
Attend regular project review meetings and provide updates on project progress.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones.
Conduct technical research to identify and implement the latest technologies and engineering solutions.
Collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to drive innovation and product development.
Monitor project performance and establish key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and product development activities.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and instructional materials.
Identify technical challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
Requirements
Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Experience in mechanical design, product development, or building services engineering is desirable.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
Experience using Revit and BIM coordination tools.
Familiarity with CAD automation software such as DriveWorks would be advantageous.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience preparing technical reports and engineering documentation.
Knowledge of product development processes and evaluation methodologies.
Eligibility to work within the EU and strong English language skills.
