Credit Control Specialist
As a Credit Control Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the debt ledger for one or more companies, monitoring and managing debtor accounts to ensure timely payments.
You will work closely with sales teams to resolve issues and queries, maintaining strong relationships with customers and providing exceptional customer service.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to operate confidently at all levels and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
We are looking for an individual who is proactive, organized, and able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee a specific portion of the debt ledger for one or more companies
* Monitor and manage debtor accounts to ensure timely payments
* Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters
* Liaise with sales to ensure smooth running of customer accounts
* Monitor credit limits
* Assist in month-end closure process
* Provide cover for colleagues as needed (Sick/Holiday)
* Implementing changes within companys credit control system
* Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience and drive excellence
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 1+ years experience within credit control function
* Experience of managing time effectively
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Computer-literate, being fully conversant with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
* Able to work independently as well as within a team environment
* Able to operate confidently and communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in a written form
* Professional in approach, and able to lead by example, acting with tact and diplomacy
* Good organisational skills
