Role: Management Accounting and Budgeting Manager Location: Waterford/Hybrid Reporting To: Head of Finance Terms: Full time 39 hours per week Salary Range: €70,000- €90,000 Job Purpose: To lead and manage management accounting and budgeting activities for Respond Housing and Services.
Core Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation of Monthly management accounts for review and finalisation.
Lead Management Accounting team ensuring development plans and resources are in place to deliver operational targets.
Act as Finance Partner to departmental leaders providing insights and support to help achieve operational and strategic goals.
Lead the annual budgeting process, including preparation, consolidation and analysis.
Manage monthly cash flow forecast, liquidity (KPI) management and optimizing the organisations financial position.
Quarterly Profitability Reporting by funding type.
Departmental Reporting and review of key variances.
Support and provide financial insights for value for money (VFM) initiatives.
Lead monthly Trial balance review.
Assist in the documentation of controls and departmental procedures.
Support process improvement, system development and cost-saving initiatives.
Management of the project asset management system (RAM).
Completion of returns to Housing Body Regulatory Authority.
Work with internal and external auditors to ensure processes and financial statement are audit ready and aligned to all Financial Reporting Standards.
Any other duties that may arise from time to time.
Essential Criteria/Education Qualification Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Technical Skills/Personal Attributes High level financial accounting skills and experience at management accountant level.
Strong computer literacy including proficiency in the MS Office suite in particular advanced knowledge in Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills, report writing and the delivery of presentations where required.
Ability to lead a small team to deliver strategy and operational objectives.
Ability to set up priorities and complete tasks to a schedule.
Ability to provide financial guidance to operational leaders in the company.
Experience Position requires 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
