Job Coach - Kare Supported EmploymentPermanent Contract - 35 hours per weekSupervisor/Instructor Pay Scale €35,432 to €51,373Location: Kildare TownThe Supported Employment Team support people with an intellectual disability to gain and maintain a paid job of their choice in the open labour market. The Job Coach provides support to individuals in their jobs in a variety of locations where the job has been sourced.ResponsibilitiesSupport the individual to enhance their life by ensuring that the goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Support Plan under the area of Work and Career are achieved.Facilitate the Individual to learn new skills by and when appropriate, assist the Service User to complete job specific and work related tasks in accordance with their employer's standards.Where relevant, make adaptations or modifications to the individual's job structure based on the employer's requirements and the individual's needs.Liaise with the employer and relevant co-workers with regard to supporting the individual while in work.Support each person where appropriate with regards to their personal and intimate care in accordance with Kare's Personal and Intimate Care Policy.Maintain all necessary records in accordance with Kare's managing records policy and assist with ensuring all records are up to date.Maintain high professional standards and confidentiality at all times.In line with the organisations key priorities identify, develop and maintain potential partnerships that are beneficial to Service Users and the organisation.RequirementsQualification: QQI Level 5 Intellectual Disability Practice/Social Care/RelevantHave an interest in supporting people with an intellectual disability to be part of their community through their jobHave the ability to develop and implement systematic training plans for individuals with an intellectual disability (on the job training)IT skills and the ability to carry out administrative tasks e.g., e-mail correspondence, report writing, use of assistive technologyEnjoy working on your own with a person with an intellectual disabilityHave the ability to build trusting and respectful relationships with the individual, their family and their employer and co-workersBe eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorshipEssential - Have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicleBenefits25 days annual leavePaid Maternity/Paternity Leave (subject to service)Federation of Voluntary Bodies Pension Scheme: Employer 7% & Employee 5% contributionsOptional Salary Protection PlanRewarding work with flexible hoursEmployee Assistance Programme and local Employee DiscountsPersonal Development, Professional Growth and Career ProgressionClosing date for applications is15thFebruary 2026.A detailed Job Description is available on request.
