Lead Social Care Professional
* Deliver holistic, trauma-informed care to our residents in a therapeutic environment.
* Collaborate with professionals to develop and implement Care and Placement Plans ensuring accurate recording.
* Promote the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person, enhancing their physical, emotional, social, and religious welfare.
* Develop and implement comprehensive Care and Placement Plans for each resident.
* Promote positive attachments through relationship building.
* Enhance the well-being of each child/young person.
* Ensure attendance at school, training centres, medical, and clinical appointments.
* Organise personal documents, arrangements, information, and finance on behalf of the young person.
* Liaise with parents, families, services, and other agencies on behalf of the young person.
* Attend meetings related to care and development.
* Engage in age-appropriate play and activities with each child/young person.
* Use physical intervention and/or restraint according to local policies and procedures.
* Prepare and provide balanced meals with the young people.
* Manage household aspects, including upkeep and cleaning.
* Attend team meetings and report to the Social Care Manager on matters affecting service delivery.
* Be accountable for expenses.
* Make regular reports to the Social Care Manager on progress.
* Undertake ongoing professional training and development.
* Minimum three years' experience in Children & Families Services or similar environment.
* Registered in the Social Care Workers Register or CORU approved qualification with application evidence.
