Key Responsibilities
* Develop access strategies and inclusive design solutions across all project stages.
* Undertake accessibility audits and assessments of both new and existing buildings, including refurbishment projects.
* Review architectural drawings to ensure compliance with Part M of the Building Regulations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying design or construction non-compliances.
Liaise with architects engineers contractors fire safety consultants on integrated solutions
Detailed reports recommendations based best practice legislation
About You
A degree educated qualification Architecture Building Surveying Construction Engineering Occupational Therapy Industrial Design Disability Studies beneficial Universal Design Inclusive Design Accessibility postgraduate advantageous ISO standards Familiarity international standards such as spatial understanding proficient technical drawing excellent written verbal visual skills ability prepare clear evidence-based reports Strong detail problem-solving confident working independently part design team Membership relevant professional body Experience mentoring junior staff leading project teams Proactive continuous development commitment inclusive design full driving licence willingness travel site work required
