Senior Analog Layout Designer
Group Description:
The Precision Signal Chain Group develops next generation precision sensing and signal conditioning ICs for a broad range of industrial and instrumentation multi markets. We also have an adjacent focus on Scientific Instruments end market, helping transform molecules into insights in applications such as food safety, air and water quality, drug discovery & development, as well as genetic sciences.
As our real-world analog signal processing capabilities advance, there is an increasing demand for ultra-high precision signal conditioning solutions. To achieve this goal, our team of analog and digital designers work on ground-breaking products by merging cutting-edge process technologies with advanced IC design techniques.
We're seeking an experienced Senior level Layout Designer to join our European development team.
Responsibilities:
You will collaborate with expert Analog, Mixed-Signal, and select CMOS designers to implement state-of-the-art amplifiers and supporting circuitry. Projects will include, but are not limited to: Precision Amplifiers, References, Mixed-Signal CMOS Frontend Circuits. Key responsibilities are:
* IP Development for Precision Analog Blocks
* Execute on Mask Layout Design for Bipolar and CMOS circuits
* Collaborate closely with circuit designers to understand layout-critical sensitivities in precision analog blocks
* Take ownership for layout of large-scale amplifier sub-blocks, including scheduling and floorplanning
* Support continuous improvement in layout methodologies and documentation
Requirements:
* Experience with Cadence Virtuoso IC61/IC18/IC20
* High proficiency in VXL for layout editing and management
* Experience with Mentor Graphics Calibre for verification
* Proven track record in floorplanning and layout of precision analog blocks
* Deep understanding of LVS/DRC/ERC/ANTENNA/DENSITY/DFM rules
* Expertise in layout matching, parasitic management, noise isolation, supply design, shielding, substrate and well isolation, and latch-up prevention
* Experience in ESD-conscious layout practices
* Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, multidisciplinary team
Key Qualifications
* BE/BSc in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
* 3-5 years of IC Layout experience, preferably in precision analog/Bipolar design
* Scripting skills in PERL, SKILL, or AMPLE are considered a plus, but not required

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Self-motivated, thorough, autonomous, and driven to continually improve.
