An Opportunity for a Principal Occupational Health and Safety Advisor


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of Ireland's largest and most exciting construction projects, with the chance to develop your skills to the highest industry standards.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a strong health and safety culture across the organization. They will also attend senior leadership meetings, providing expert advice and support. Additionally, they will advise and support during significant health and safety incidents, including investigation and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

* Model and promote health and safety values and behaviors throughout the organization.
* Lead the development of a comprehensive health and safety management system, in line with industry best practices.
* Attend senior leadership meetings, providing expert advice and support on health and safety matters.
* Investigate and report on significant health and safety incidents, identifying areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to improve health and safety performance.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A degree or diploma in occupational health and safety.
* Chartered or Certified Membership of IOSH.
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET/PTLLS).
* Successful management experience on a construction site or FM facility.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
