The ERP Director is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across the organization. This role will oversee cross-functional teams, align ERP capabilities with business needs, and ensure that ERP solutions support organizational efficiency, scalability, and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the organization-wide ERP strategy, including system selection, implementation, upgrades, and ongoing optimization.
* Collaborate with business leaders to align ERP capabilities with short- and long-term business goals.
* Oversee ERP project management, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
* Manage vendor relationships, contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and licensing compliance.
* Ensure ERP systems are integrated effectively with other enterprise systems and tools.
* Lead and mentor ERP team members, including business analysts, developers, system administrators, and project managers.
* Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security in collaboration with IT and cybersecurity teams.
* Develop and maintain documentation, training programs, and support processes to enhance user adoption and system utilization.
* Stay current with ERP trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend improvements and innovations.
* Drive change management efforts related to ERP transformations.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
* 8+ years of progressive experience in ERP systems management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.
* Proven experience with major ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or Infor.
Technical Skills:
* Strong understanding of ERP architecture, integrations, and data flows.
* Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
* Familiarity with cloud ERP and digital transformation strategies.
