Applications are invited to apply for the position of Events and Membership Manager, focusing on the Learning Technologies sector. This is a highly collaborative role, working in a multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
This is a key position to sustain Learnovate’s continued growth in our membership and the number of companies partnering with us in applied industry led research to shape the Future of Work and Learning. This role will be responsible for significant membership campaigns and will be an integral part of the Centre’s commercial team, reporting to the Head of Membership Services.
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of the Centre’s events programmes, as well as supporting the development, coordination, and administration of the organisation’s membership engagement and communication activities. The post holder must be highly organised with strong attention to detail, an excellent communicator, and have the capacity to turn their hand to new challenges and skills. They will need to be experienced in organising event logistics, managing event administration, liaising with senior level members/customers, and delivering against time-sensitive project plans. The successful candidate will also be experienced in event promotion and digital advertising across multiple channels, converting expressions of interest to attendance. The role will involve the continuous improvement of documentation of strong processes to operationalise and standardise events planning, and associated activities and execution will be a requirement of the post.

Main Responsibilities
Events
* Identifying the event needs/gaps within the organisation to support the activities of the commercial team
* Own the events process, monitoring efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and managing and coordinating all process activities with the internal team and external providers
* Responsible for impact KPIs for events and membership engagement and communication, demonstrated through an evidence-based approach on conversion of targets to leads, increased engagement, increase external media reporting
* Develop the schedule of events (annual global summit, webinars, workshops and roundtables, external events) ensuring a highly professional service which exceeds participants’ needs. This will include responsibility for all aspects of logistics before, during and after online and face-to-face events
* Design a suite of ‘members only’ events, initiatives and engagement opportunities delivering measurable impact
Communication
* Liaise with marketing on branding and marketing assets to promote events and membership, ensure all membership marketing sales collateral is continuously updated and refined
* Update the website and social media channels to promote events and membership
* Lead and manage the centre’s Podcast and Learning Signals Survey series
* Create membership case studies and success stories
* Lead and manage the new member onboarding and orientation process
Budget and operations
* Complete budget events budget ownership and reporting
* Manage and monitoring vendors relationships, including negotiation of favorable Services Level Agreements and Contract to ensure excellent delivery and value
* Develop partnership strategy (joint events with national stakeholders and members, reports & surveys)
* Grow the database of prospective event and membership target and deliver on strategic plan for engagement through completing event and membership offerings
* Comply with GDPR requirements and best practice
* Event revenue management
* Develop strong processes and associated SOP to operationalise and standardise events planning
